Child Care in Pittsburgh: At Tender Care Learning Centers our purpose is clear. We exist to help children develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our award-winning, nurturing teachers, paired with our warm and welcoming “at home” environments, ensure that every child is tenderly cared for. Each of our age-appropriate, nationally recognized programs focus on your child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development using fun and engaging teaching strategies. Our goal every day is to prepare children for a seamless transition into each new phase of early childhood development, then on to kindergarten and beyond.
We believe that parents are an integral part of a child’s development. We strive to develop strong parent/teacher partnerships where you are free to share your beliefs regarding your child’s education. We have an open-door policy where parents are welcome to join us during any part of the day. We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year to discuss your child’s developmental progress and keep you well informed on a daily basis about your child’s experiences at Tender Care.
Tender Care is a Pennsylvania and Connecticut state-licensed child care and early childhood learning organization, an accredited member of NAEYC, PennAEYC, CAEYC, HAEYC, and PACCA, and is Keystone STARS rated.
Our Programs
Tender Care’s award-winning early education professionals use nationally renowned curriculums to help your child learn and thrive. From infants to school-age, your child will be given the positive encouragement, inspiration and care to achieve his or her full potential.
Infants
At Tender Care, your precious baby will be nurtured and loved while encouraged to try a variety of activities that inspire him/her to develop and grow.
Toddlers
Toddler time is discovery time at Tender Care. Your little one will learn to socialize, make friends, have fun and even develop some independence. Your child will learn many self-help skills, as well as counting, sorting and reading picture books to name a few.
Preschoolers
Why, why, why? Your preschooler has questions, and Tender Care’s preschool teachers have many of the answers! Through educational play, our early education professionals will embrace your child’s natural curiosity to help him/her be ready for kindergarten!
School-Agers
After the school day ends, Tender Care offers a fun, safe, club-like atmosphere for your school-ager. Grab a snack, socialize with friends, take part in a planned activity, or get help with homework in our school-age program.
