Description

We are studying the effectiveness of Ketamine for pain and postpartum depression following cesarean delivery. Ketamine has long been used to manage pain and was recently approved to treat some types of depression.

Research Participant Requirements:

  • Planning a cesarean delivery at a UPMC Hospital
  • Willing to:
    Receive a ketamine infusion for up to 12-hours after delivery
    Complete 2-minute diaries every 4 hours after delivery for one day
    Complete weekly surveys (20 minutes) about your modd and pain for up to 12-weeks

Up to $1050 in compensation is provided upon completion of the study surveys.
